TAT in Toronto!
The Toronto Trucking Association hosted Truckers Against Trafficking for an educational seminar on human trafficking in Etobicoke, Ontario. Human trafficking survivor, Karly Church, shared her moving story of being trafficked in the greater Toronto area. Heather Fry, TAT Canada Director, educated the participants on the realities of human trafficking and how the trucking industry can make an impact in disrupting this heinous crime. The two speakers were followed by a panel discussion that also included Ashley Franssen-Tingley from The Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking and Dave Martin from Bison Transport, one of TAT’s industry partners. A big thanks to Mike McCarron from Left Lane Associates for moderating the event and to TTA for hosting! The Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking Bison Transport Left Lane Associates
