DESCRIPTION:A half-day summit hosted by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Program\, the Greater New Jersey Motorcoach Association\, the New jersey Motor Truck Association\,  Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) and Busing on the Lookout (BOTL) to bring together key trucking and busing industry stakeholders\, with local\, state and federal law enforcement to effectively combat human trafficking in NJ. The training will feature Human Trafficking 101\, TAT\, a law enforcement panel who discuss actual human trafficking cases in NJ and a survivor of human trafficking sharing her story.  There will be time at the end of the meeting for Q&A and discussion. This is a closed meeting. DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join SEG Automotive and Truckers Against Trafficking for the emPOWER the Driving Change community awareness event regarding human trafficking on April 1\, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.\, at the Mexicantown International Welcome Center\, 2835 Bagley St\, Detroit. \nThe event will include TAT’s celebrated Freedom Drivers Project (FDP). Also available for viewing will be the 2019 Everyday Heroes Truck\, of which SEG Automotive is a proud sponsor. This unique T680 Kenworth tractor\, built through the donations of multiple organizations\, is currently touring the United States before being auctioned off May 17\, 2019 to support TAT’s work. Since January\, it has been displayed at the Washington\, D.C.\, Mall\, and then in Georgia for the Technology and Maintenance Council annual meeting and Kentucky for the Mid-America Trucking Show\, two of trucking’s significant events. \nIn addition to touring the FDP and checking out the beauty of the Everyday Heroes Truck\, event attendees are invited to an 11 a.m. press conference\, highlighting the Everyday Heroes Truck and addressing the problem of human trafficking locally and throughout the state.  \nFollowing the press conference\, transportation professionals are invited to attend a special Lunch and Learn\, beginning at 12:30 p.m.\, and featuring a TAT presentation. \nWe hope you will join us for a day of awareness about human trafficking and recognition of the fact that the trucking industry is driving change on this important issue.
