Corporate Engagement Manager
TAT (Truckers Against Trafficking) is a nonprofit organization that educates, equips, empowers and mobilizes key industries and agencies to combat human trafficking. TAT achieves this bold mission by saturating transportation industries with training and awareness, partnering with law enforcement and government agencies to facilitate the investigation of human trafficking, and marshaling the resources of our partners to combat this crime. Our mission requires a team of talented, passionate, and culturally responsive professionals. TAT employees enjoy working remotely, traveling the nation educating audiences, and making a direct impact in this field by building lasting relationships with key stakeholders, while helping to create an effective model other industries can replicate in order to help eliminate human trafficking.
Corporate Engagement Manager: [40 hr./week] – Fully remote
TAT is seeking someone with proven partnership development experience who is adept at strategic thinking, public speaking, impact tracking, and relationship management. The Manager will focus mainly on TAT’s work with the trucking industry, which includes training for over-the-road drivers, local/final mile drivers, as well as movers and in-home delivery professionals. The Corporate Engagement Manager will garner new partners for TAT, manage critical long-term relationships, assist in development, collaborate with fellow team members on vision implementation, provide in-person and virtual presentations, work with the media as needed, and work with a host of contacts to take existing partnerships to the next level.
The Manager will join a dynamic team of passionate, dedicated, hardworking individuals who advance TAT’s efforts within the trucking/transportation industry. Industry experience is a plus but not required. Integrity, empathy, and the inclination to be a team player are desired.
Key responsibilities include:
- Speaking/Training/Interviews (virtually and in-person)
- Travel nationally to exhibit, train stakeholders, and share about TAT’s programs and involvement options. Events may include conferences, association events, safety meetings, industry-wide events, private corporate events, etc.
- Represent TAT to the media, as needed.
- Relationship Building
- Develop relationships with stakeholders to generate in-roads to achieve new partners, projects and donors.
- Engage and connect relevant stakeholders to get involved or become more active with the program(s).
- Manage critical, long-time trucking partnerships to create new growth opportunities.
- Maintain a personal portfolio of corporate sponsors and assume ownership of previously developed relationships, as needed.
- Program Development
- Work with fellow TAT team members to ensure that program development and scalability across the Industry Training department is successful.
- Collaborate, ideate and add input to assist with ongoing program development and expansion.
- Data Collection
- Input and track your partnership conversion rate progress within Salesforce.
- Other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will have:
- A strong desire to combat human trafficking (background knowledge desired).
- Ability to make this your full-time career (longevity preferred).
- Experience within the transportation industry preferred.
- Experience serving multi-ethnic/cultural communities preferred.
- Adaptability and curiosity are welcomed.
- Exceptional public speaking skills.
- Strong ability to build relationships, follow up on opportunities and grow partnerships.
- Ability to travel up to ~25% of the time (expenses covered by TAT).
- Proximity to a major airport is preferred.
- Experience working with Salesforce preferred.
- Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, plan time and schedule accordingly, stay on task while working with a variety of people, coordinate and keep track of multiple details and problem solve successfully.
- Advanced skills with Google products, as well as the Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High initiative, ability to self-start, work independently devoid of office setting and meet or exceed daily deadlines.
