There was good reaction to the TAT message at the South Carolina Trucking Association (SCTA) Safety Management and Technology and Maintenance Council annual meeting on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Myrtle Beach.
Lyn Thompson, TAT communications specialist, spoke to approximately 50 attendees. After the presentation, several companies began talking about making TAT training a part of their regular orientation for new employees as well as annual training for long-term employees.
Taryn Shekitka-West, in charge of operations for SCTA, said Rick Todd, SCTA president, is committed to expanding the organization’s partnership with TAT and encouraging South Carolina trucking to be engaged in the fight against human trafficking.
