It’s time for our next edition of Going the Extra Mile, and we are featuring professional driver, Jon Osburn!

Going the Extra Mile

Jon Osburn is the driver of “The OOIDA Spirit of the American Trucker” tour truck. He makes 100+ stops across America, visiting with professional truck drivers each year coast to coast. He is an advocate for the trucking industry and is passionate about professional drivers and the work they do keeping America moving forward. Jon has been a long-time supporter of TAT, who has diligently and consistently raised awareness about human trafficking and how members of the trucking industry can combat it by passing out TAT materials to everyone he meets on the road. Jon definitely goes the extra mile!

TAT: Why do you feel it’s important to support or promote TAT?

Jon: TAT was the first group I found that was able to educate the trucking community about the dark world of sexual trafficking.

TAT: Have you always been involved in social justice issues or is this new to you?

Jon: Ambulance attendant, combat medic, paramedic in past lives may have caused me to have these concerns.

TAT: What is something new you’ve learned in the last year regarding human trafficking?

Jon: If we take the time, we may save the life of someone living in their own living HELL.

TAT: Last question … how would you complete this sentence? I want to live in a world where …

Jon: I want to live in a world where all children are healthy, loved, well fed and can live life free of pain. Lambs.
